Pupils with different mother tongue and history teaching

The thesis deals with the issue of pupils with a different mother tongue and the difficulties they face in learning history. The theoretical part includes topics that affect pupils with different mother tongue in teaching, such as the legislation of the Czech Republic, the number of pupils with a different mother tongue in Czech Republic in terms of nationality, the current state of knowledge in the field of education of pupils with different mother tongue in the field of history. I also deal with the teaching subject of history and its specifics with regard to the given issue. The practical part includes a questionnaire survey among history teachers, which maps their experiences of teaching pupils with different mother tongue. The main focus of the practical part is a qualitative investigation among several history teachers and their pupils, conducted through interviews. The paper concludes with methodological recommendations for history teachers when working with pupils with different mother tongue. Adaptation of Ukrainian Pupils in Czech Primary Schools

This bachelor thesis focuses on the process of adaptation of Ukrainian pupils in Czech primary schools in the context of the current emergency situation caused by the war conflict in Ukraine. The aim of this thesis is to find out how the social and academic adaptation of these pupils takes place in school and what factors influence it. The theoretical part of this thesis contains information concerning the number of foreign pupils in the Czech Republic, legislation and support measures related to this situation. Among other things, the theoretical part contains terminology related to the adaptation of foreign pupils and defines the factors that influence their adaptation. The practical part of this thesis presents interesting findings on this topic, obtained on the basis of qualitative research carried out using the method of semi-structured interviews with Ukrainian pupils attending a Czech primary school.
Issue of Integration of Foreign Pupils with Focusing on Their Origin Country

The aim of this thesis is to analyze and evaluate the current situation of the integration in the Czech education system focusing on the issues and specifics inclusion of foreign pupils and on consideration of the impact of pupils' country of origin on the process. The theoretical part of diploma thesis mentions the reasons for the integration of foreigners. Moreover, it highlights why and from where they are coming to the Czech Republic. It captures the current legislation and the rights of foreigners who want to settle permanently in the Czech Republic. Further, it shows the analysis of different ways of educating pupils with special needs, the placement of foreign pupils at Czech elementary schools and intercultural differences, which may have impact on pupils' integration. The practical part focuses on comparing the available theoretical knowledge and the everyday reality of Czech teachers who teach foreign pupils and can work on their daily practice. Based on the comparison of theoretical and practical knowledge the author explains the personal point of view on the integration of foreign pupils and suggests some ideas how to overcome mentioned shortcomings....
The integration of foreign language pupils into Czech lessons

The bachelor's thesis analyzes the current situation and possibilities of Czech Primary school systém with the integration of foreign pupils with permanent resistance in the Czech republic into Czech language teaching. It deals with not only the options that are guaranteed by law, but also a possible collaboration between schools and other institutions or family. It provides the basic teaching aids that are available for education of these students. Based on the study of literature and consultation with teachers from two Prague Primary schools presents two case studies that describe a way of integrating foreign pupils in these schools, and measures which are succesful or not when working with them.
Challenges of integration of foreign pupils at primary schools

This thesis deals with the theme of integration and education of foreign pupils at primary schools. Further, it presents the findings which are connected with this theme. It focuses on classification of challenges and problems which can occur when the pupil starts to attend a school in a foreign country, and tries to find possible solutions and preventive measures as well. It has been confirmed that teachers see positive contribution of a foreign pupil in the class but they also admit and express concerns about insufficient preparedness and the lack of materials for work with the foreign pupils. The empirical part of this paper analyses three case studies which have been made thanks to observation of the foreign pupils and thanks to interviews with their class teachers. This part also concerns with teachers' opinions and their view of the challenges that are brought up by the presence a foreign pupil. The outcome of the thesis is a set of sample work sheets intended for foreign pupils. These worksheets are compatible with the textbooks for teaching Czech language which are commonly used at primary schools. Foreigners at the beginning of school attendance

My diploma thesis focuses on including students from foreign countries in the first grade of primary school and problems related to these questions. It deals with Czech and foreign educational systems, which could help teachers to understand different approaches of parents from foreign countries and their children to education. This thesis explains multicultural differences, which could support better communication with students from foreign countries and their parents as well. This work offers possibilities of subvention of children from foreign countries in the process of including in the Czech educational system. On the basis of research it is obvious, that students from foreign countries are mostly successfully adapted to the educational system. Rarely there are problems with language boundaries or social and emotional development. Teachers consider admission of a student from a foreign country as a benefit but they often point out that it also means a harder work for them. In case of some difficulties teachers often cooperate with non-profit organisation Meta.
